POLICE and ambulance have been called to Old Wareham Road in Poole after a crash involving a car and a cyclist.
A Dorset Police spokesman said they were called at 2.45pm.
He said the car involved is a red Vauxhall Agila, registered to a Poole woman.
Eyewitnesses have reported seeing a young man being treated by paramedics.
A woman, who asked not to be named, said: "The paramedics were getting a stretcher out of the ambulance.
"It was close to the Mitsubishi garage.
"Quite a large crowd of people were looking to see what happened and traffic quickly built up.
"The bike was propped up at the side of the road."
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said the cyclist suffered what is believed to be an arminjury and was taken to Poole hospital. It is believed he is not seriously injured.
