The emergency services are at the scene of a two-car collision
THE B3059 Somerford Road was closed in both directions at the Purewell crossroad junction junction because of an accident.
Police were at the scene to direct traffic, and two fire crews from Ferndown and Christchurch also attended to assist an ambulance.
A blue Vaxuhall Antara registered to a man from Christchurch and a blue Ford Focus registered to a woman from the town are involved.
The driver of the Focus was cut out of her vehicle as she suffered arm and neck injuries.
She was placed on a spinal board by fire crews and before being taken to hospital by road ambulance.
