A POOLE-based accountancy firm have made it into the industry’s top 100 after almost doubling its fee income within a year.

ClearSky Accounting, which provides fixed-fee services to small businesses, freelancers and contractors, recorded the second-highest revenue growth of any firm to feature in this year’s Accountancy Age Top 50 + 50.

Derek Kelly, Managing Director, said: “Inclusion in this list marks a significant milestone in the growth of ClearSky, and we’re naturally delighted.

“We are unashamedly ambitious, and want to become the accountancy provider of choice for SMEs, sole traders, start-ups, contractors and freelancers across the UK.

“With continued growth expected, we hope to build on our progress and climb up the rankings next year.

“We are prepared to continue to invest in the business to help us make this vision a reality.”

It is the first time that ClearSky have appeared on the prestigious list, which is widely regarded as the definitive guide to the UK’s leading accountancy firms, with providers ranked in a league table based on their annual fee income.

ClearSky took the 87th place on the list with a fee income of £4.7million from April 2012 to March 2013, which is a 42.7-per-cent increase over the last 12 months, while the company also attracted over 1,600 clients during the same period.

This also meant that employee numbers doubled last year, thanks to the company’s continued success, across its offices, which also include Warrington, Manchester and London.
