- Seven fire engines, four Land Rovers and one unimog off road vehicle are in attendance.
- Police have evacuated members of public from the beach and the police helicopter was seen overhead.
- Dorset Fire and Rescue have said approx 200x300m of heath and gorse is believed to be affected
- Andy Fox, the fire service's incident commander, said he couldn't confirm it was arson but the police would be investigating
- Police cars are blocking the paths to the beach.
