YESTERDAY thousands of women took to the prom in Bournemouth for one common cause.
The latest Race for Life hopes to raise tens of thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK in the ongoing battle against the horrific disease.
Each person had their own reason for taking part, whether they had been affected by cancer themselves or knew someone who has been.
It is the efforts of people like these that will keep improving the chances of those struck down by the illness.
When times are tough and money is tight, it is heartening to see such spirit and fight.
They all took part to make people’s lives better and in the hope that one day, cancer will be beaten for good.
