FIRE crews from Cranborne, Wimborne and Ferndown were called to a blazing straw-filled barn in Wimborne St Giles at 4.50pm yesterday.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by 6.15pm using two main jets and remained on the scene for several hours to damp down the wreckage.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service Tweeted a picture of the operation last night:
