THERE are undoubtedly some warped individuals who believes that accessing child abused images online is a victimless crime. No one gets hurt directly. But for every single image produced, somewhere in the world a child suffers the cruellest of fates.
Daniel Murawski downloaded 30,000 pictures, some in the worst category and some observers may feel, as we do, his sentence was too lenient and sends out the wrong message. Members of the judiciary should pay heed to the CEOPS report yesterday. They need to start getting a grip on this most horrendous of curses of the digital age.
