THERE is nothing followers of politics like more than a clamour for someone’s resignation.

Cllr Xena Dion, Poole’s cabinet member responsible for transport, faces more of a murmur that she should consider her position over the Twin Sails Bridge.

It comes after she said: “If I had bought this bridge, I think I would have taken it back by now.”

But we should think twice before demanding Cllr Dion’s head. She was saying what the town is thinking. And her remark is more convincing than the official protestations that “teething problems” were only to be expected.
