Jimmy Carr is backing Jack Carroll to win 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The teenage comic had judges - Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams - in fits of laughter with gags poking fun at his battle with cerebral palsy, and the 14-year-old stand-up has already won the support of fellow comedian Jimmy, who met him last year while working at the Pride of Britain Awards.

He told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "You wouldn't bet against him becoming a star.

"I met Jack thanks to the Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards and he's brilliant. He knows how to write a one-liner and he's fearless, cheeky and funny."

Jack has had cerebral palsy - which affects the brain and nervous system - since birth and requires the aid of a walking frame or wheelchair, but his illness hasn't stopped him from making wisecracks about himself.

He said: "It can be taxing, I do get a few aches and pains. Laughter is the best medicine."

Meanwhile, the teenage comedian revealed he had to scrap more risqué gags from his hilarious routine for fear of being too rude for the family show.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I tried to tone it down before Ofcom had to intervene.

"I did it once for my grandma in my front room. She told me to get out and never ever come back."
