DAREDEVIL skydiver Michelle Jose completed the UK’s highest tandem free-fall when she jumped from 15,000 feet in memory of her mum.

Michelle, who works at Tapper Funeral Service’s Christchurch office, has raised more than £800 for Mac-millan Caring Locally, vastly exceeding her £500 target.

The 40-year-old who lost her mum, Joyce Jose, 16 years ago said she would have been lost without the help from Macmillan nurses who cared for her at home in her remaining few weeks.

“We relied on Mac-millan so much,” said Michelle. “I have no idea how we would have coped without the staff there. They were so caring and supportive.

“The feeling of free falling at 120mph was truly amazing; it felt like I was flying more than falling. I certainly will be doing it again, that’s for sure.”

Donations can still be made on justgiving.co m/Michelle-Jose or by person at Tapper Fun-eral Service in Christchurch.
