A PUBLIC meeting of the Labour Party that would have coincided with Baroness Thatcher’s funeral has been cancelled.
The Christchurch Labour Party was due to meet in St Luke’s Hall, Burton on Wednesday, April 17 to discuss the forthcoming Dorset County Council elections.
David Stokes, the Labour Party candidate for Burton Grange said they felt it would have been ‘inappropriate’ to hold the meeting on the same day as the funeral of the former Prime Minister.
