A kite surfer has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a head injury at Sandbanks beach.
The alarm was raised at 12.41 pm today (Sun) after the surfer's kite was suddenly blown into the air by a gust of wind.
A Portland coastguard spokeswoman said the surfer had been flown to Southampton Hospital for treatment.
