A FORMULA 1 day which was forced to be cancelled due to bad weather earlier this month has been rescheduled.

Wimborne's Business Improvement District (BID) team members, who organised the event, have now rearranged it for April 13 from 11am until 4pm.

F1 fans were disappointed when the day was rained off in early March.

BID member Joan Tidd said: "You don't have to be a petrol-head to enjoy the thrill of a Formula 1 show car.

"Just sit in a sinulator to experience what the thrust of a Formula 1 engine feels like. Or, try a fast tyre change in the pit stop, all courtesy of F1 Motorsports Dorset, who are delighted to bring their F1 show car for people to try. Plus, you may get to meet their mystery driver!"

The event will also feature some of the world’s most longed-for prestige sport scars supplied by Dorset Sports Cars and Jaguar specialists from Three Legged Cross.

Amongst the super models on show will be their latest Porsche 911.
