POLICE are appealing for information after a number of cars were destroyed by paint in Sherborne last weekend.
The incident took place sometime between 5pm on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday at Newlands North Car Park.
Those responsible targeted five cars in total at the location pouring paint over them.
Police Constable Simon Lancey, of Sherborne police, said: “This thoughtless crime has caused serious damage to a number of vehicles while they were securely parked.
“These actions have not only caused an obvious inconvenience to the car owners but great expense as well.
“The paint has also damaged the tarmac in the car park and this will need repairing.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or may have information about those involved to contact police in confidence.”
No arrests have been made.
