Bus pass applications will be handled by Dorset County Council rather than district and borough councils from April 1, the aim being to provide a more consistent service at lower cost.
Residents can apply for passes by phone, by downloading an application form online or collecting a form from their district or borough council. Dorset council will contact those who need to renew their passes.
