MUDEFORD Sea Scouts put in an impressive performance at a national swimming gala.

The 10th Christchurch Sea Scouts maintained their record at the National Royal Navy Sea Scout Swimming Gala.

The team of six scouts – Matthew Clarke-Jones, Jack Ogden, Martin Underwood, Tobie Annells, James Collis and Christian Norman – travelled to HMS Raleigh, a training establishment near Plymouth to compete in the event.

And the scouts came second in the Team Line Throwing competition against 20 other groups.

They also came third in the under-12 squadron relay, with congratulations going to Martin Underwood who came third in the individual under-12 freestyle.
