TALENTED young singer Natasha Wollen has been selected from more than 100 hopefuls to take part in a national search-for-a-star competition.

The 12-year-old from Poole won her audition in the TeenStar contest and will now compete in the regional finals, with the chance of making it to O2 in London for the finals.

The regional head-to-head competition will take place infront of hundreds of audience members and a professional judging panel on April 14.

However Natasha, who sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, and has been making music since she was a young child, would relish the opportunity.

“I prefer singing to people I don’t know,” she said. “I enjoyed it. I can sing anything, soul or pop.”

Proud Dad Jamie, who accompanies her on the guitar said: “She’s done very well. She’s got a lovely voice.”

The competition is divided into age categories and all kind of singers, vocal performers, groups and acoustic singer/songwriters have entered in the search for the stars of tomorrow.
