POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was bitten by a dog in a Bournemouth park.
The 68-year-old woman suffered puncture wounds to her left hand after a boxer type dog attacked her on a footpath close to Elgin Road in Meyrick Park
Details of the incident at 10.30am on Monday, February 25, have just been released.
PC Leila Whittle said the victim had been left very shocked and badly bruised. The dog owner is white, in her 60s, about 5 ft 7 in tall with white, short hair.
Witnesses and anyone with information should phone 101, quoting incident number 28:85, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
