A POOLE man who has himself experienced homelessness is taking part in this year’s London Marathon to raise money for the charity Crisis.
Chris Hill, pictured, of Newfoundland Drive, is hoping his efforts will raise at least £2,000 for the cause, which helps single homeless people transform their lives.
He explained: “I have been a Crisis at Christmas volunteer for several years now, spending each Christmas in London’s East End working with and helping the homeless. I also assist in helping the homeless community in Bournemouth.
“Having experienced what it is like to not have a home, I wanted to do something really significant this year and by running in the marathon hope to raise a huge amount of money.
“This is one of the toughest challenges that I have done.”
