STEVE Fletcher is a legend at AFC Bournemouth. When he speaks, the fans listen, the media listens and his team-mates listen.
So when Fletcher says ‘Don’t write us off’, he is absolutely right.
Three defeats from three games have left Cherries in seventh place in League One – they were top two weeks ago.
But fans giving up on the possibility of promotion after those results are jumping the gun.
Manager Eddie Howe has shown he is capable of turning things around.
When he took over from former boss Paul Groves in October, Cherries were 21st in the league standings.
Relegation looked more likely than a promotion push.
But Howe quickly established a team spirit among the players, leading them on a run that saw them top the table.
Now Howe has a new challenge, but it is one he can rise to and the supporters should believe as much as ‘Big Fletch’ does.
