A BOURNEMOUTH academy is appealing for sponsors to help create a new woodland for students of the future.
A total of 420 sapling trees will be planted at the Bourne Academy in Hadow Road on February 28 and March 1.
The Bourne Tree Appeal is part of the academy’s £10million buildings investment project and will support their outdoor education programme.
Richard Youngs, the Bourne Academy’s business director, said: “By planting these trees we can connect children with nature – watching young trees grow and spotting the wildlife it attracts will make a huge difference to their lives.
“We also hope our new woodland will inspire our students as well as support the wildlife and that we can create a special place all can cherish and enjoy.”
To support the Bourne Academy and plant a tree email della.dawson@thebourneacademy.com or visit www.thebourneacademy.com. The cost to get involved is £50 per tree.
