Sandbanks ferry service resumed

The Sandbanks ferry service was back to normal on Saturday morning from 8am, following disruptions caused by Friday's snowy weather.

The Bramble Bush Bay chain ferry, which runs across the entrance to Poole Harbour, operated a reduced 30 minute service on Friday.

The Bournemouth-Swanage Motor Road and Ferry Company has announced the ferry is now back to leaving the Poole side on the hour, and then 20 and 40 minutes past the hour, as usual.

Forgive my ignorance but, how does snow affect a chain ferry?
