DRIVERS are being urged to take extra care on Dorset’s roads as heavy rain has caused flooding.
The west of the county has been worst affected and some roads have been closed.
The B3075 in Sandford is closed this evening, as is Bere Road near Wareham.
The A35 Dorchester bypass is also closed again, having reopened earlier.
A stretch of the A352 between Wool and Warmwell is closed.
The A35 between Bere Regis and East Morden is also closed.
Flooding has also affected the A357 at Fiddleford and Church Road at Lulworth, although they are not closed at the moment.
Chief Inspector Steve White from Dorset Police urged drivers to take care on the roads and issued safety advice.
He said: “Drivers are asked to reduce their speed through standing water and to plan and take alternative routes.
“Dorset police are urging the public to take extra care on Dorset’s roads at the present time due to the high level of rain fall over the last 24 hours, which has lead to various roads being flooded and some road closures.
“The west of the county has been the worst affected.”
There was also a small landslip on the A353 near Osmington. The road was closed for a time but has reopened.
