Rubbish collections over the Christmas and New Year period

RUBBISH and recycling bin collections will take place as normal throughout the festive period in Bournemouth, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Affected residents should leave their bins out at the edge of their properties for catch up collections from Thursday, December 27.

Excess bagged waste will also be picked up or additional waste can be taken to Millhams household recycling centre, which is open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

There will also be Christmas tree collections running in the New Year from Monday, January 7 to Friday, January 18. Residents should put their tree out for collection on their scheduled refuse collection day during their non-recycling week.

In the event of adverse weather disrupting services, residents should leave their bins out as they will be collected as soon as conditions improve.
