SAY hello to VLAD, the latest young band to have popped up on the Bournemouth music scene.
Formed last year, the trio was born after jamming in a caravan in their mate’s back garden. Following the release of their first few tracks, they caught the attention of the music press and have been generating quite a buzz.
The NME for instance compared them to former Suede guitarist and record producer Bernard Butler.
All three band members have been in previous outfits such as two diverse Bournemouth bands, The Emerald Guard and Dom.Remi.
Vlad give us an exciting blend of DIY 90s alternative and post-rock. Their latest release Gamma has been attracting rave reviews and has already proved popular on BBC6 Music. It’s also worth checking out the 60’s comic book inspired artwork of their record sleeves.
