PASSENGERS from Bournemouth were among those on a cruise ship blighted by the norovirus sickness bug.
The Oriana has docked back in Southampton today after a journey reported to be described by some as “a cruise to hell” after passengers were taken ill.
Antony Wars, 48, from Bournemouth, said he was told around 300 people were taken ill as restaurants were shut and they had to wait hours for room service after the illnesses escalated.
He said the passengers were so angry that he feared “there might be a mutiny” at one point.
P&O Cruises remained defiant that only six passengers were taken ill.
The ship is leaving for its next trip on Friday evening instead of in the afternoon to allow time for it to be cleaned for longer.
