NICOLA Greene, deputy leader and cabinet member for education and children’s services at Bournemouth Council, said: “This year’s results reflect a significant improvement on the results achieved in previous years.

"There are now no schools in Bournemouth below the nationally expected results of at least 60 per cent.

“This rapid improvement is encouraging and shows that we have effective support and development plans in place to ensure future school results can continue to improve.

“We recognise the efforts of all pupils, staff and parents in achieving these results, however it is clear that we have further progress to make and we strive for an even greater improvement in 2013.

“We will continue to work closely in partnership with schools to ensure our children are reaching their fullest potential.”
