A first look teaser for the new Star Trek film has emerged and as the title suggests, things get dark.
Captain Kirk and his crew are back for another action-packed adventure, which sees them on a manhunt to capture Khan - a one man weapon of mass destruction - rumoured to be played by Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch.
Into Darkness is the sequal to 2009 box office smash Star Trek, which went on to become the highest grossing film in the franchise.
The film is director JJ Abrams' second Star Trek outing and sees Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Zachary Quinto reprising their roles.
Star Trek Into Darkness lands in cinemas on May 17 2013.
