A WOMAN driver remains in a critical condition following a three-car collision near Bournemouth town centre on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old, who was behind the wheel of a silver Honda Jazz, suffered life threatening injuries after three vehicles were involved in the collision on Branksome Wood Road. Two male drivers were treated at the scene for shock and minor injuries.
Dorset police Sgt Stuart Pitman from the force traffic unit said: “The investigation is on-going, however it appears that the driver of the Honda was taken ill at the wheel. She remains in a critical condition at hospital. I would extend my thoughts to her family at this very difficult time.”
Witnesses to the 10.10 am collision at the junction of Branksome Wood Road and Kensington Drive are asked to phone 101, quoting incident number 28:119.
