ONE of Bournemouth's finest rock acts will be holding a launch party for their debut album next week.

Voodoo Vegas play Talking Heads in Southampton on Friday, November 23 and the special show will be recorded for a forthcoming music video, DVD and live album.

The five-piece recorded the LP at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales over the summer and worked with producer Pedro Ferreira who produced the multi-million selling album Permission to Land by The Darkness.

The album has been funded by fans after the band took to the Pledge Music site earlier this year and invited people to help raise enough money to record eight tracks. The band reached their target in just 24 hours.

Fans will only be able to get hold of a copy of the album at the launch before it goes on general release early next year. The title of the album is currently being kept under wraps.

The band kept fans up-to-date with how the album was progressing throughout the recording process, posting pictures and video footage on their Facebook page.

Tickets for the launch are available at £6 each from See Tickets, We Got Tickets and Ticketweb. Support comes from The Lash.
