TWO girls are being hunted by police following a vicious attack on a female teenager in Christchurch.
The 17-year-old victim, who may need surgery after suffering a fractured eye socket and cheekbone injuries, was set upon as she tried to board a bus outside Specsavers opticians on the High Street.
Details of the assault, at around 4 pm on Sunday, November 4, have just been released by Dorset police.
Appealing for witnesses, PC Bill Nightingall said: “A young girl has suffered some very nasty injuries and we are very keen to track down those responsible.
“We are particularly keen to talk to a woman who stopped to speak to the victim and offered to call the police.”
No arrests have been made.
