CHART topping group The Nolans have cancelled their Farewell tour that was due to reach the BIC Windsor Hall on February 27 next year. Bernie Nolan, 52, announced yesterday that she was suffering from a return of the cancer that was first diagnosed in 2010.

Two of her sisters, Linda and Anne, had fought the disease, and Bernie has previously undergone chemotherapy and a mastectomy. A spokesperson for the band said: "Due to very unforeseen circumstances The Nolans Farewell Tour has had to be cancelled. Ticket purchasers are requested to go back to their point of purchase for a refund."

The Nolans sold over 25 million records worldwide and became a global phenomenon with their hugely successful single ‘I’m In The Mood For Dancing’ which topped charts around the world. They also sold over nine million records in Japan alone – which was even more than the Beatles.
