PLANS are being finalised for this year’s eagerly awaited Bournemouth Tourism Awards ceremony on November 22.

Now in its seventh year, the glittering awards presentation at the 02 Academy in Boscombe will toast the efforts of everyone involved in the success of Bournemouth and its tourism industry.

New for this year will be the Daily Echo People’s Choice Award which has provided a unique opportunity for local businesses, their customers and Daily Echo readers to get involved.

The winners will receive a complimentary two-night stay, inclusive of full breakfast, at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott or Portsmouth Marriott Hotel.

As the countdown continues to the awards evening, which will have a Victorian theme, the menu has been announced. From Mrs Beeton’s cucumber soup to fantastic pheasant mandarin, this luxurious menu will not disappoint. The indulgent banquet, which includes the delectable desert raspberry and lemon syllabub, has been inspired by traditional Victorian recipes and created by head chef Dave J Brown, using many locally sourced products.

As well as dining in Victorian splendour, guests can expect to be dazzled by fantastic entertainment, including circus performers, fairground rides and live music.
