THE Environment Agency will, next Saturday, run a flood fair and flood warden training in Dorset as part of an initiative to raise public awareness of flood risk.
Following the flooding in early July, the Environment Agency and Dorset County Council organised a number of drop-in sessions with affected communities. They said feedback was a request for information about how people could take actions to protect their properties against flooding.
The Agency and Dorset County Council are now staging a flood fair at the Dorford Centre, Dorchester, on November 3 between 10.30am and 4.00pm. Ten flood protection manufacturers will be demonstrating their products and will give advice about their use and installation.
