POPULAR rock’n’roll variety show That’ll Be The Day returns to the Pavilion theatre on Sunday and then every Wednesday from August 28 to September 14.

Featuring hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s, the touring show comes complete with colourful outfits to take you back in time and is set to be another top retro night.

The show celebrating the pop icons of the past has been running for more than 28 years, and in 1985 was created as a variety show called The Happy Days of Rock ‘n’ Roll and starred Trevor Payne and a three-girl dance group called Fizzical.

The show proved popular and Trevor took it on tour, changing its name in 1987. Trevor’s ‘right arm’ is Gerry Anderson who he first met in 1988 when Gerry was a club comedian and impressionist working the circuit.

The third stalwart in the company is Julia Greenham, who has been with the show since its beginnings. Rock ‘n’ roll will never die... immortal words!
