COMEDIAN Andy Hamilton, above, will still be performing his sold out show at the Tivoli Theatre on May 23. The Daily Echo reported earlier this week that he had cancelled, though that is not the case.

Hamilton had gone down with a serious bout of viral gastro-enteritis and was forced to postpone a show in Southampton last weekend. Thankfully, the stand-up has now recovered and is raring to go for his date with the Wimborne audience next Wednesday.

Andy is one of Britain’s best loved comedy performers and writers, as proved with the sell-out Tivoli date for his latest show Hat of Doom.

For the past 30 years, Andy has been celebrated as one of Britain's most prolific and successful comedy writers and performers.

He is known to millions for his appearances on TV shows such as Have I Got News For You and QI. He is co-creator and co-writer of the BBC One TV hit sitcom Outnumbered which is now in to its fourth series.

His other TV work includes writing sketches for Not the Nine O’Clock News, Alas Smith and Jones, and The Armstrong and Miller Show.

Andy is also a very popular voice on national radio, known for his frequent appearances on BBC Radio 4 where he is a regular panellist on the News Quiz and a guest on I’m Sorry I Haven't A Clue. For those with tickets this should be a memorable show.
