Gervase comes to the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne on March 29.
His books, based on his experiences visiting schools in Yorkshire, have won him a legion of fans and his live shows are packed with anecdotes from his career and acute observations on the things that children say.
Additionally he has published collections of his own plays, poems, picture books and short stories.
With his keen ear for the absurd and sharp eye for the ludicrous, Gervase Phinn has delighted audiences all over the UK with stories of his experiences as a school inspector. His shows have received rave reviews all across the country.
A former Speaker of the Year, Gervase is also president of the School Library Association.
