SPRINGWATCH star Michaela Strachan brings her lively and educational Really Wild Adventures show to the Lighthouse in Poole on February 20, and families can expect to participate in an exciting show.

From antelopes, through orphaned orangutans to polar bear dentistry and all the way to zebras the show, based on Strachan’s popular book of the same title, explores the world of animals through poetry, music and dance.

Her knowledge of the subject can’t be in any doubt after 13 years on The Really Wild Show on BBC One, not to mention presenting Elephant Diaries, Orangutan Diary and Michaela’s Wild Challenge among others.

The poems are largely based on her own, often comical, experiences with animals while filming for TV shows, and will prove engrossing for youngsters, and for their parents too.

Directed by Malachi Bogdanov, acclaimed for his many Shakespeare productions, the show is aimed at children aged 3-7, and starts at 2pm.
