WHERE has the loveable comedienne Lucy Porter been for the last two years you may well ask? The answer is that she decided to produce children instead of comedy shows.
In the last two years she spent 18 of the 24 months pregnant. Despite this intensive spawning schedule, Lucy continues to have a strong presence on radio and is now set to return to the stage.
The critically acclaimed new show People Person arrives at the Forest Arts Centre in New Milton on January 19 and the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on June 28. The show is based around a true story with a stunning twist in the tale.
Along the way, the thirty-something mum of twins brings us her hilarious stand up observations. She tackles the big subjects; happiness, home shopping, friendship and the psychological impact of daytime TV’s Dom Littlewood.
Lucy was recently in the series of The Unbelievable Truth and Life: An Idiot’s Guide, and has also been commissioned by Radio 4 to develop a sketch show. You may have heard her co-presenting ‘What’s So Funny’ on BBC Radio 4 extra.
