CARLO Collodi’s classic tale of a puppet's desire to become a real boy is being given a new musical reading by Riverbank Productions.
With four versatile actors, puppets, catchy original music and lots of joining in, this show is guaranteed to please family audiences, particularly children aged four to nine.
This production pulls all the right strings and is only coming to the Regent Centre, Christchurch for just one day.
Pinocchio follows the enchanted wooden puppet as he meets colourful characters including the roguish Fox and Cat, while his father and creator Gepetto tries to keep him from harm. To Gepetto’s dismay, Pinocchio turns out to be mischievous, naught puppet.
He is easily distracted by a Fox and the Cat and soon forgets the Blue Haired Fairy’s good advice.
After Pinocchio is turned into a donkey and swallowed by a shark, he finally achieves his greatest wish – to become a real boy.
Pinocchio runs at the Regent centre, Christchurch on February 19 at 2pm.
