Pavilion Dance South West hosts two powerful solos by female performers, starting tonight.
Tonight sees dance legend Wendy Houstoun perform her engaging dance-theatre show 50 Acts - a spirited retaliation against ageing that combines movement with text, meaning and humour.
Next Thursday Antonia Grove presents her brave and compelling solo Small Talk.
Written in collaboration with Wendy, Small Talk is a funny yet darkly disturbing performance, in which Antonia embodies real life American B-movie actresses, whose interviews are fed to her through earphones.
Taking on a series of transformations, Antonia explores the desire and difficulties of being all things to all people.
Wendy Houstoun will also lead a masterclass at Pavilion Dance South West tomorrow from 10.30am, for undergraduates, graduates and professional dancers aged 16+, which will involve improvising with language and movement.
