Ever hankered for a Koh Thai Tapas but couldn't be bothered to go out to eat? Or wanted a 7bone burger delivered to your door?

Well thanks to delivery service Deliveroo, you can now get takeaway from restaurants that don't do takeaway.

Deliveroo was first launched in London in 2013 by former Wall Street banker Will Shu disappointed with the quality of food available for delivery to his desk when he transferred to the city.

Following its success in London, the company has expanded across the country - and has now reached Bournemouth.

Customers pay restaurant prices plus a £2.50 fee to get the meals delivered to their home or office.

Seventeen restaurants have signed-up including Nativ, 7Bone, Urban Reef, Koh Thai Tapas, Funki Sushi and Baffi.

The website states: “We personally curate a high-quality and diverse selection of restaurants in your area. This can range from a top neighbourhood Italian trattoria to well-regarded national burger chain. The only thing you will not find on Deliveroo is low-quality takeaway restaurants.”

More than 2,000 restaurants across the UK are currently on the books from the likes of Wagamama, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and even Michelin-starred Indian eatery Trishna.

Deliveroo reported a 500% rise in the number of daily orders for the first half of this year.
