MasterChef viewers were unsure about getting their teeth into one contestant’s dish when she served up ballotine of crocodile.
Amateur chef Lyndsay was taking part in a challenge that called for a snappy dish to be prepared in a short time frame for a panel of previous contestants to judge in Thursday’s episode of the BBC One show.
She chose to cook a ballotine of crocodile, but her unusual dish surprised viewers despite winning positive reviews from the critics.
Those watching the episode joked about the choice of meat.
Notting Hill actress Lorelei King was straightforward in her objection to the dish.
Others were concerned about the use of such an unusual ingredient and its environmental impact.
However, there was an obvious joke to be made.
Lyndsay progressed to the quarter final which will air on BBC One at 8.30pm on Friday.
