Ninteen-year-old pop princess Pixie Lott brought her first headline tour to the O2 academy. Pixie opened the show with her Number 1 hit and debut single ‘Mama Do’ dressed in red pjs and laying in a bed.

This really connected to the fans watching the ‘Crazy Cats’ tour, which averaged about 14 years old.

Pixie had numerous costume changes throughout the show, seeing her wearing sequin leotards, a black tutu and converse as well as cat ears for her ‘Crazy Cats’ eg her fans.

With the support from the upbeat live band, Pixie performed chart hits such as ‘Gravity’ ‘Cry Me Out’ and ‘Turn It Up’.

Having trained at Italia Conti, it was clear that Pixie wanted this tour to show that she isn’t just a singer, as she showed her ballet skills during a couple of the songs, which I found really endearing.

Her backing dancers also gave emphasis to a theatre/West End theme. Pixie didn’t talk much to the crowd but she did tell Bournemouth of her love for Motown music and then followed on by singing a Motown medley including ‘Ain’t No Mountain’, which the crowd loved.

Pixie also did a few acoustic covers such as Plan B’s popular hit ‘She Said’ and ‘Use Somebody’ by Kings Of Leon, which heard the whole venue singing along.

After chanting from the crowd, Pixie returned to stage for the encore, which saw snow fall from the ceiling onto stage as she wished everyone a Happy Christmas.
