IF your little one just can't wait until Christmas, this magical treat might help them pass the time.
Performed by just three people, and using the most basic of sets, this adaptation of everyone's favourite Christmas poem left the audience spellbound.
Little Emily is waiting up for Father Christmas when she spots Eddie the mouse. Impulsively she throws him out of the window into the cold, where he resolves to intercept Santa and ask him whether mice shouldn't be allowed to enjoy Christmas too.
His adventure brings him into contact with an abandoned robot toy and a novice fairy and there's plenty of singing and fun along the way.
This is the latest production from Big Wooden Horse, creators of the hit show Aliens Love Underpants, and it's perfectly suited to the intimate atmosphere of the Lighthouse's Studio.
It's simple but beautifully done and perfectly captures the magic of Christmas. I can't recommend this show enough - and not just for the little kids either.
