AFTER support act 10cc delighted the crowd with some classic songs like I’m Not in Love and Dreadlock Holiday something strange happened in the Windsor Hall.
We all got strapped into the Status Quo rocket and burst into the sky at lightning speed.
My head felt like it was strapped against the side of the jet engines as roar after roar and wave after wave of a loud chainsaw sound burst us into the night.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any louder or faster our pilots Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt seemed to find another gear.
Well that’s what it all felt like anyway.
It was the loudest gig I’ve ever been to.
They ripped through a relentless set at breakneck speed and played lots of their more well known songs like What You’re Proposing and You’re in the Army Now.
Then at the end Deeper and Down and Whatever You Want were amazing.
