SEVEN years ago, the nation took Leona Lewis to their hearts due to her weekly winning performances on talent show The X Factor, and the audience tonight showed that their love is still just as strong.

Early in the show, Leona treated us to her debut single, a song that broke the world records and outsold the Top 40 sales combined; A Moment Like This, which remains just as stunningly beautiful. She then sped it up with a number of dance hits; although not my favourite, she certainly got the audience up and dancing along.

A song that really surprised me was The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face; it is a song I have never really liked by any performer and was dreading as I heard the opening bars, but for the first time I really felt the power and emotion of the song; something Leona has the power to do with a lot of ballads.

There were a couple of tear-jerkers; Footprints in the Sand, which Leona dedicated to her late grandmother and Run, which is such an incredibly powerful song that it always moves me to tears, and was met with a standing ovation from the audience.

The best thing about Leona is her stage presence - she has the diva voice, but when she talks there is so much humility that it is clear why she still holds the love of millions.
