IT is a long way following the Yellow Brick Road in Kansas City to the Salvation Army Hall in Boscombe, but 30 talented musicians made it there last Friday.
Three times North American Brass Band champions and three times US Open champions, all are volunteers under the baton of Joe Parisi.
The Boscombe Band of the Salvation Army, conducted by bandmaster Howard Evans, opened the concert.
The highlight of the programme was the Carnival of Venice featuring the brilliant cornet playing by Rachel Rodriguez and the concert ended with the massed bands playing Tchaikovsky’s The Little Russian.
