REVELLERS in Ashley Cross will be getting their groove on this Sunday to a host of top local bands at the annual Grooves On the Green. The previously free event has broken with tradition this year and decided to charge revellers an entry fee of £3.
Event organiser Jane Jones said: “We remain optimistic that people will continue to come down and support the fantastic Julia’s House and local businesses and bands.
“There is a fantastic line up of live music this year and plenty of stalls on offer.”
Huge crowds pack the village green every summer for the Grooves on the Green event and there will be the usual eclectic mix of local foods, drink, craft stalls and a number of live bands and entertainment.
Bands include Hazey and J’s, Brave Mariner, Bird Jaguar, Samba Panache, Perico, Mother Ukers and Jouis.
