DREADLOCKED singer songwriter type, Newton Faulkner took the helm of Condor Ferries’ catamaran en route from Poole to the Channel Islands for the Grassroots Eco Music Festival.
Under the close supervision of Captain Steve Ainscow, the spectacularly dreadlocked-Newton was allowed to steer the fast ferry with members of the band looking on.
“I have to admit that I had to check who he was with my 12-year-old daughter Alex via telephone,” said Captain Ainscow. “She updated me on his career to date and assured me of his outstanding musical talents.”
